
Childhood Formation
The Children's Ministry
Program utilizes Catholic teachings and practices,
creative methods and Christ-centered content for grades
1-5. Students meet Monday afternoons, after school,
in the parish hall.
Special Events For Grades
1-5
Students participating in our Children's Religious
Education (CRE) program also will experience special
events designed to enhance the program by creating
community and cohesiveness among students and families
of all ages. Students gather to celebrate holidays
and special events through group activities, music
and presentations. Events include the Blessing
of the Animals, All Saint's Day, Nativity Play and
dinner, Valentine's Day, Mardi Gras, St. Patrick's
Day, May Crowning and an end of the year celebration.

Children's Ministry Opportunities
In addition to the regularly scheduled SRE classes
from September through May, the Children's Ministry
program also offers these various components to enhance
the faith journey of students and families.
Social Ministry
Each year the Children's Ministry program promotes
service opportunities designed for families. Projects
will include the Adopt-a-Family Program, Christmas
toy collection, used clothing drives, food drives
and Operation Rice Bowl.
Mass Servers
Children who have received their First Holy Communion are invited to serve
during the liturgies.

Christmas Pageant &
Dinner
The annual Christmas Pageant is a great opportunity
for entire families to become involved in the preparation
for celebrating Christmas!
First Communion &
Reconciliation:
The Sacraments of Eucharist & Reconciliation are
normatively administered to students participating
in our second grade religious education class. If
your child is in grades three or higher and you wish
for them to receive these sacraments, please contact
our Director of Religious Education, John Bruscia
at (949) 673-2719 to set up an appointment.
Volunteers
The Education and Faith Formation program utilizes
dedicated and energetic volunteers. Call to seek to

Newsletter
A monthly newsletter is mailed to all families participating
in religious education at OLMC. The newsletter is
the primary source of information for the Education
and Faith Formation programs. The newsletter is used
as a means of communication between parents, catechists
and staff. To receive copies, please call the office
